ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 2 tablet to launch November 7th?

The eagerly expected ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 2 tablet could launch as early as next month. While ASUS has only confirmed that it will be released later this year, the UK-based LambdaTek Component Shop has posted it on its website with an availability date of November 7th 2011 (Click on the ‘Check Stock’ button to get the message: “OOPS. We have run out of stock – more expected on: 07/11/11.”).

The site lists the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 2 as model TF201-1I020A. Specification details are few but confirm a Tegra 3 processor, Google Android 3 (Honeycomb), 32GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, and a 10.1-inch display. It will be available in at least two colours, gold or grey.

LambdaTek lists the price as about US$700 (£448.21), significantly higher than the US$499 promised by ASUS CEO Jerry Shen.

Should the date prove to be accurate, we can expect ASUS to make a formal announcement in the next few weeks.
