Motorola on Friday announced the MT917 smartphone with a 13MP camera. Like the RAZR, it comes with a Kevlar shell, a zinc frame and a splash guard coating inside and out. Unfortunately for many of us, it has only been announced with TD-SCDMA support for China Mobile so far.
“Motorola MT917 is the latest 3G high-end flagship smartphone by Motorola and China Mobile. It is a new milestone for the two companies,” said Li Huidi, assistant to the president, China Mobile Communications Corporation. “Motorola MT917 uses world-leading hardware platforms and operating systems, providing a better choice for China Mobile users.”

The Motorola MT917 will be available in China in mid-December. It remains to be seen if we will see variants in other parts of the world later.
