Nokia Windows Phone prototype caught on video

After asking everyone to turn off their recording devices during an internal company meeting, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop gave a sneak peek at Nokia’s first Windows Phone device. Unfortunately for Elop, it looks like at least one person did not listen and caught the unveiling on video.

Codenamed “Sea Ray” and described as “super confidential,” the device is very similar to the just announced Nokia N9 powered by MeeGo.

Elop revealed little about the device but indicated that it will come with a Gorilla glass display, a pillow-shaped backing, and a rear-facing 8MP camera with Carl-Zeiss optics. It also features one additional button (for the camera?) compared to the N9 and an LED flash positioned differently.

It is possible that Nokia will formally introduce its first Nokia Windows Phone device at the upcoming Nokia World conference.
