TELUS Mobility has made good on its promise. It today announced that it has begun to push out the Android 2.3 update for the HTC Desire HD. Android Gingerbread 2.3.3, Build number 2.43.661.1 promises to add improved power management, VoIP over Wi-Fi, and new Google account backup options.
If you cannot wait for the automatic update to do its thing, you can force a manual check by selecting ‘Check now’ from the ‘System software updates’ setting.
