Google has taken to Google+ to indicate that it is working on a fix for an Android 4.2 bug that has caused December to vanish from its People app:
We discovered a bug in the Android 4.2 update, which makes it impossible to enter December events in optional fields of the People app (this bug did not affect Calendar). Rest assured, this will be fixed soon so that those of you with December birthdays and anniversaries won’t be forgotten by your friends and family.
The December bug in the People app is limited to Android 4.2 which is only found on the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 as well as updated Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus devices.
Google has not provided a specific timeline to fix and deploy the fix. With December just around the corner, it’s likely that we won’t have too wait too long for it though.
