September is set to be a busy month for Windows Phone 8 device announcements. Following rumours that Nokia would unveil two or three devices at Nokia World 2012 on September 5th comes word that HTC will unveil its Windows Phone 8 lineup in the third week of September. Chinese-language WPDang‘s sources also point to events taking place in New York or London (or possibly both?).
Previous rumours identified three Windows Phone 8 devices: The Rio at the lower end, Accord, and Zenith at the higher end. Both the Accord and Zenith will feature displays with a pixel density greater than 300ppi.
Both the HTC Rio and Accord could be available in October with the HTC Zenith to follow later in the fourth quarter.
Both Huawei (with the Huawei Ascend with Windows Phone 8) and Samsung (with the rumoured Odyssey and Marco) are also expected to launch Windows Phone 8 devices.
