Rogers Nokia Lumia 920 exclusivity only good for a month?

Nokia Lumia 920Earlier this month, Rogers announced that it would be the exclusive Canadian carrier for the Nokia Lumia 920. But it may not be all bad news for customers hoping to see the Lumia 920 on other Canadian carriers. A WMPowerUser reader was reportedly told by a Rogers representative that the carrier’s exclusivity period could be as short as one month. Should this be the case, carriers such as Bell and TELUS could offer the Lumia 920 shortly after that.

Another scenario is also possible. Nokia could offer Canadian carriers a number of variants based on the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 much as it will do south of the border. For example, T-Mobile will carry the Nokia Lumia 810 and Verizon is rumoured to have both the Lumia 822 and Lumia 922.

Rogers will launch the Nokia Lumia 920 sometime in November. It has yet to announce specific availability and pricing details.
