Samsung announces the Samsung Galaxy Premier

Samsung Galaxy PremierSamsung today announced the Galaxy Premier. Rather than being a new Nexus device as some earlier rumours suggested, it will be a mid-range device that blends the esthetics of the Samsung Galaxy S III with many of the hardware specifications of the older Galaxy Nexus.

  • Display: 4.65-inch HD (1280×720) Super AMOLED
  • Input: Capacitive touchscreen
  • Memory: 1GB RAM
  • Storage: 8GB/16GB onboard and microSD cards (up to 32GB)
  • Rear-facing camera: 8MP with LED flash and 1080p video capture
  • Front-facing camera: 1.9MP
  • Battery: 2,100mAh
  • Dimensions / weight: 68,02 x 134,2 x 8,99 millimeters / 130 grams

An LTE model will also be offered.

The Samsung Galaxy Premier is headed to Europe and Asia with sales to start in Russia in November. It’s unclear whether it will make its way over to North America later. It will sell for about US$700.
