Sony C6603 Yuga gets benchmarked

It was only days ago that we learned about what could be one of Sony’s 2013 Xperia flagship devices, the Sony C650x ‘Odin.’ It now appears that it will share the limelight with a very similar second device, the Sony C660X ‘Yuga.’ According to Xperia Blog, the two devices will share very similar specifications but have different appearances.

The Sony C660X ‘Yuga’ has already surfaced on both the AnTuTu and NenaMark2 benchmark websites. AnTuTu reveals that the Sony C6603 will be powered by a 1.5GHz processor (number of core unspecified) and Google Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

Both devices will allegedly run a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 chipset (APQ8064, Adreno 320 GPU and MDM9615 baseband chip with LTE support). The C6603 Yuga will sport a 1080p HD (1920×1080) display. The physical size is unknown but Xperia Blog expects it to be no smaller than 5-inches. This is certainly plausible, especially in light of a recent announcement by Japan Display Inc (JDI) that it has started to produce 5.0-inch TFT-LCD IPS display modules with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 443 PPI.

There is still no word on exactly when Sony could announce its C650x and C660x devices.
