Sony Mobile yesterday announced a new program whereby it will offer developers loaner Xperia smartphones to give them a chance to test their apps on them.
Would you be interested in trying out and testing an Xperia smartphone, without any cost, to ensure that your app is compliant? If yes, then why not borrow a smartphone from our Device Loaner Program? This program is intended as a low cost (free!) option to allow you to test your apps on a physical Xperia smartphone or accessory device for up to 30 days.
The Sony Device Loaner Program is geared at smaller studios and independent developers whose limited resources may prevent them from testing their apps across a range of devices. It is currently aimed at the U.S. and Canada. Developers in other countries can also make use of it but will have to pay their own international shipping fees and applicable customs/duties.
The following devices can currently be borrowed:
- Xperia S
- Xperia arc S
- Xperia active
- Xperia PLAY
- Xperia arc
- Xperia X10 Mini Pro
- Xperia X10a
- Xperia X8
- LiveView
Developers will need to set up a Device Loaner Program account. Only one device will be allowed per customer.
