TELUS cancels HTC Desire HD Android 4.0 upgrade due to “poor device performance”

HTC Desire HDThe latest TELUS “Device OS Upgrade schedule” has been released and it contains bad news for HTC Desire HD owners. TELUS has cancelled the expected Android 4.0 upgrade. It explains that “HTC has cancelled the HTC Desire HD ICS upgrade due to poor device performance during testing.” No other information was provided.

The upgrade had been scheduled for July 17th according to the previous version of the update schedule.

Meanwhile, better news for Nokia Lumia 800 owners. Their upgrade, identified as MRC3/Bug fix, started this week and will continue over the next four weeks. It requires the Zune software.
