Both Bell Mobility and Rogers Wireless already offer the Windows Phone 8X by HTC [product information]. TELUS will also offer the HTC Windows Phone 8 smartphone according to a tweet this weekend. Asked whether it would carry it, it responded:
Hello. We will be carrying it, unfortunately I don’t have a date. Keep an eye on http://www.telusmobility.com info.
It remains to be seen when it will launch and whether TELUS will offer the 8GB or 16GB models (or both) and in what colours.
Update: A TELUS email has now contradicted an earlier tweet that the carrier would offer the Windows Phone 8X by HTC.
“TELUS will not be carrying the HTC 8X. TELUS will however, be offering the HTC One X+ coming out this month. We work closely with our partners on a roadmap of devices that evolves on an ongoing basis and our commitment is to offer our clients the best selection of devices possible.”
If you’re looking for a Windows Phone 8 device from TELUS, your only choice so far is to wait for the Samsung ATIV S which is still listed as coming soon.
