Today Apple started its back-to-school specials: A US$100 gift card with purchase of a Mac and US$50 gift card with an iPad or iPhone purchase. The promotional period is from July 7 through September 6 and gift cards can be redeemed through Apple’s App store, iTunes Store, or iBookstore.
In order to qualify for the App Store Gift Card or get the special education pricing on a Mac, you must be a college student, a parent buying for a college student, a faculty or staff member at any grade level. The purchase must be at one at these three places – the Apple Online Store for Education, an Apple Retail Store, or an Apple Authorized Campus Store. The iPhone is the only device that cannot be purchased at the Campus Store.
If you are a college student, a parent of a college bound student, or a teacher, and in the market for an Apple Mac, iPad or iPhone, now is the time to grab one. This is the first year that Apple has offered the iPhone, always a nice gift so your children will keep in touch with you while off at school – yeah, right!
