MotorolaMotorola is set to kick off a marketing campaign tomorrow in a number of newspapers including The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. While it does not reveal the device itself, the ad teases that the Moto X is not only coming soon but will also be “the first smartphone you can design yourself.”

Early rumours about the Moto X suggested that Motorola was looking to offer a number of customizable options. The tag line suggests that at least a few such options will be available but it remains to be seen if it will be limited to a choice of colours or will go beyond cosmetics into features that can be found under the hood (such as the amount of internal storage, RAM, etc).

The ad also features Motorola’s new logo which was first spotted last week.

It’s not clear whether we’ll see the same promotion in Canada, especially as it’s geared towards the upcoming US July 4th celebrations.
