Google Nexus 4 sells out in Canada

Google Nexus 4

Following a price cut in late August, the 8GB Google Nexus 4 quickly sold out in the U.S. It may have taken a bit longer but it has now sold out in Canada as well. Canada has also gone and done one better by also selling out of the 16GB model.

While it is possible that Google will restock it (Availability is listed as “We are out of inventory. Please check back soon.”), it is more likely that the warehouse will remain bare until Google announces the Google Nexus 5. This announcement is expected sometime next month.

Rumours continue to paint a confusing picture about the Nexus 5. Will it be manufactured by LG or by Motorola? For those keeping track, LG seems to have the inside line for now. If so, could it be the LG D820 or LG D821 that were recently spotted at the FCC and Bluetooth SIG. Based on today’s rumour, they are indeed the same device.

Only one thing is sure though: It will come preloaded with Google Android 4.4 KitKat which was announced earlier this month.

Did everyone manage to get their hands on the Nexus 4 that wanted one? Let us know below.

  1. Yup, managed to get my 4 and I am loving it. There are a few bugs but none too horrible to not live with. Will I get a 5? Maybe if my wife allows me.
