LG-V510 pictures and new details leaked

Rumoured LG-V510The LG-V510 has been the topic of a number of rumours already. Expected to be a new Nexus tablet, more information surfaced today along with the first LG-V510 pictures. Showing the tablet in white, the images unfortunately reveal little.

The first of two shows the back of the device, wrapped in silver although it’s not clear if it’s metal or plastic except for narrow strips at the top and bottom. The second shows the inside of the back cover. The Nexus logo remains absent, leaving the door open to the possibility that this is not a Nexus device. If it is launched as a Nexus device, it will likely do so as the Nexus 8 rather than the Nexus 10 as some earlier rumours suggested.

The documents obtained by MyLGPhones also reveal that the the LG-V510 is a Wi-Fi only model. With no cellular data requirements, it will not be assigned an IMEI number. As for specifications, here is what we can expect:

  • Cellular connectivity: None
  • Other connectivity: GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE
  • Display: 8.3-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) LCD
  • RAM: 2GB DDR2
  • Internal storage: 16GB
  • External storage:
  • Rear-facing camera: 5MP
  • Front-facing camera: 1.3MP
  • Connectors: 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port
  • Battery: 4,600mAh
  • Dimensions: 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.3 millimeters
  • Weight: 350 grams
  • Colours: Black, white

If these seem familiar, it’s because they are almost identical to those of the LG G Pad 8.3 (LG-V500). Missing here are the processor and operating system but they are likely to be similar if not the same as well.

There is still no word on availability and pricing for the LG-V510. At this point, it is looking almost certain that Google and LG will launch it early next year.
