Rumours that Samsung would hold a press event on September 4th have been confirmed this morning. The company took to Twitter to announce that it will hold Unpacked 2013 Episode 2 event on that date in Berlin. The invitation asks us to “Note the date” (our emphasis), a possible clue that it plans to unveil the oft-rumoured Galaxy Note III at the event. Handwritten notes and drawings add further hints that we will find out about the latest device with Samsung’s S Pen technology.
Much like it did last year, Samsung could unveil additional devices alongside the Galaxy Note III. Among them could be the rumoured Samsung Gear smartwatch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to come with a 5.7-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and either a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or Exynos 5 (perhaps the new 5420?) processor depending on market.
The event kicks off at 1900 CET (1300 ET). Samsung will again livestream the event via YouTube for those unable to make it to Berlin.
