Samsung expanding Canadian retail presence

SamsungSamsung Canada opened its first Samsung Experience Store retail store in British Columbia last year. Following a positive customer response, it today announced plans to increase its retail presence next year with two new individual Samsung Experience Stores as well as an additional new format 90 Samsung Experience Shops in partnership with Best Buy Canada and Future Shop.

Consumers nationwide will now have convenient access to explore and learn about our portfolio of mobile products, with the support of a trained Samsung Experience Consultant.”

Both the Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung Experience Shops will offer customers the chance to see Samsung’s full range of mobile products including smartphones, tablets, laptops, connected cameras and accessories. They will be staffed by Samsung Experience Consultants.

The new dedicated Samsung Experience Stores will open in the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta and in the Richmond Centre in Richmond, British Columbia. Both will include a dedicated service and training area, providing consumers substantial access to Samsung’s latest products. They will measure 2,200 and 1,900 square feet respectively. They are scheduled to open in January 2014.

Three Samsung Experience Shops are already open at Best Buy and Future Shop locations in Heartland Town Centre, Deerfoot Meadow and Edmonton North. The rest will follow by the end of spring 2014. All of these will be smaller, measuring about 625 square feet in size.
