Most rumours to date have suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III will come with a display measuring 5.99-inches or larger. But the usually reliable @evleaks now suggests that Samsung may have opted for a slightly smaller 5.7-inch display.

If true, the display would only increase 0.2-inch over the Galaxy Note II’s display. With the thin bezels recently spotted, it might be no larger than the Note II and perhaps even smaller. Samsung already pulled off such a move this year with the Samsung Galaxy S4 (136.6 × 69.8 × 7.9 millimeters) which has a display 0.2-inch larger than that of the Galaxy S III (136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 millimeters) despite being marginally smaller and thinner.
Should the Samsung Galaxy Note III come with a 5.7-inch display, it could well be among the smaller ones in this latest generation of upcoming phablets.
