Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 series tablets coming to U.S.

Galaxy Tab 3

A while back we reported that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets were on their way to Canada sometime in July. We can now report that the three tablet versions will be released in the U.S. as well and you can preorder now for delivery by July 19th. If you are in the market for a new tablet, you may want to check them out in detail on Samsung’s website.

There are a 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10.1-inch models available, although when compared to the new line of Lenovo’s tablets, they are priced a little high, especially for the specifications. Following is a brief look at the specs on each model:

  • 3MP Camera, 1.3MP FFC
  • US$199.99

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch:

The 10.1 and 8.0 both run Android 4.2 and the 7.0 version is Android 4.1.2 for some reason. All three are available only in White or Gold Brown, but the way Samsung plays the “color game,” we may see a blue, red, or black variation eventually.
