Sony Canada today announced via Twitter that its Xperia Z Ultra phablet is coming to Canada in October. Shown off in glorious purple, Sony provides no additional details about dates, carriers or prices.

Announced back in June, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD (1080×1920) TRILUMINOS display as well as a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (with Android 4.3 on the way), LTE connectivity, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a 3,000mAh battery. Like other recent high-end Sony Xperia devices (including the Xperia Z1 announced last week), it is both dust and waterproof.
