Video: Nokia targets Apple iPad with Lumia 2520 ad

Nokia Lumia 2520 ad

Nokia has not shied from taking aim at its competition in past ads. Its latest one, this time for the Nokia Lumia 2520, its first Windows RT tablet, is no different. This time, it takes aim at the Apple iPad and poor battery life and its lack of a keyboard, notwithstanding the fact that there are several such accessories available.

The Nokia Lumia 2520: The right tablet if you don’t want to choose, work OR play, battery OR bulk. We know lots of people buy a tablet because they don’t like to carry a heavier, bigger laptop everywhere they go, but how does that work out?

The ad follows an iPad user who goes from loving his new iPad (thinner than a pencil) to rueing that it does not have a keyboard and that its battery life does not keep up with him. Needless to say, the blonde he is trying to impress sports a Nokia Lumia 2520 with power keyboard. He is left to wonder whether he bought the wrong tablet.

With Microsoft set to acquire Nokia’s devices business in early 2014, such ads are not likely to disappear anytime soon.

Anyone out there who felt the need to buy a Nokia tablet after using an iPad tablet for a while? Let us know below.
