With 9 days to go, ASUS has now released a second teaser for CES 2014. Called “[ASUS CES 2014 Teaser II] What’s your number?” this new video shows balls falling from the sky onto Taipei, Taiwan. The balls make sounds reminiscent of tone dialing as they hit the ground before music takes over. We also catch glimpses of balls bearing the numbers 4, 5, or 6 printed on them.
The new teaser appears to have nothing in common with the first one. Whereas the first hinted at dual-booting Android/Windows convertible tablet, this latest one appears to hint at a new smartphone lineup consisting of devices with 4, 5 and 6-inch displays. ASUS had hinted at its intention to take on the U.S. smartphone market in 2014 and it may well have decided to use CES 2014 to make its entrance.
All should be revealed on January 6 when ASUS holds a press conference called “In Search of Incredible.” The event will also be livestreamed for those unable to make it down to the event in person.
