First The All New HTC One teaser promises improved BoomSound

HTC teaser for The All New HTC OneWith most of the Mobile World Congress announcements behind us, our attention is already starting to shift to what’s next. For many, that will be the launch on March 25 of HTC’s new flagship smartphone, The All New HTC One (that does really appear to be the name HTC has chosen). In anticipation, HTC has released its first teaser for the new device.

Titled “HTC Technical Translations #1: BoomSound,” it focuses on HTC’s front-facing speakers and technology that was introduced with the HTC One last year. Robert Downey, Jr. is strangely absent and instead we get two new hosts, one explaining BoomSound in technical terms and the other in layman’s terms. The video then swings into teaser territory, promising an improved version of BoomSound for The All New HTC One.

In episode #1, our sound engineer tries to explain HTC BoomSound. But don’t worry, we recruited some help from a friend who knows how to translate our engineer’s technical talk into plain English.

Here is the video:

With this teaser bearing the number ‘1,’ we can expect more similar videos to follow in the leadup to HTC’s March 25 event. Look for them to focus on other features of the upcoming HTC One successor.
