As expected, Google today launched the Nexus 5 in red. Aside from the fresh coat of paint, it is identical to the Nexus 5 available in black or white since their launch in October 2013.
The price for the red Nexus 5 is the same as for the other colours: CA$349 for the 16GB model and CA$399 for the 32GB model. Both models currently are in stock in Canada with a shipping status of “Leaves warehouse in 1 – 2 business days.”
There is no word yet on whether other colours will follow. Some rumours hinted at a yellow model.
As for the red Nexus 5, it might be perfect with Valentine’s Day just around the corner.
Update: According to LG, the red Nexus 5 will be available in the United States,Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Korea starting this month. Wider availability across Europe will follow by the end of the month. It will also be available in retail stores in “select markets.”
