Following this morning’s leak of three upcoming Android video ads, Google itself has posted a teaser for the upcoming launch of Android L. Called “Sweeeeet,” it teases that “There can only be one L. Coming soon.” The teaser was first posted to Twitter by none other than Sundar Pichai who will likely make the announcement (assuming that there even is one as Google skipped this formality last year with the Nexus 5).
In the video, various desserts are vying for the honour of being the one to lend their name to the next major version of Android.
Among the competitors are Lemon Meringue Pie, Lava Cake and Lemon Drop and even Oreo. Notably absent are Licorice and Lollipop, two recently rumoured contenders.
The video does confirm one detail: Android L will carry version 5.0.
All could be revealed as early as tomorrow.
