ASUS is expected to enter the Chromebook market later this year with two models, the 11.6-inch C200 and the 13.3-inch C300. Images of the ASUS C200 have now surfaced courtesy of Sweden’s Online Partner along with pictures of the already announced ASUS Chromebox.
The images of the ASUS C200 reveal a few new details. As expected and now apparently confirmed by the Intel sticker, it will be powered by an Intel processor. As to which specific processor it might be, there is no information yet. It could be an Haswell-based one or perhaps a Bay Trail one but we’ll have to wait for new rumours or an official announcement to know more.
A large sticker to the left of the trackpad touts “all-day battery life,” “ultra-thin and light” design, a “larger touchpad,” “high quality audio” and an HDMI port. Unfortunately, there are still again no other details at this point.
It is still unclear when ASUS will announce its new Chromebooks. With Google I/O 2014 approaching quickly, perhaps an announcement will come then if not sooner.
