LG confirms LG G Flex 2 and LG Vu 4 coming by end of year

LG G3 launch in Seoul, Korea

The launch of the LG G3 continued today with three additional events held in Singapore, Istanbul and Seoul. In its home country, LG also held an additional press conference where company executives answered more questions from the press and shed some light on what the company has planned for the rest of the year. Without revealing its entire product roadmap, LG confirmed that both the LG G Flex 2 and LG Vu 4 will launch later this year. Needless to say, LG did not reveal much about either upcoming products.

LG launched the LG G Flex late last year. Not only was it the company’s first device with a curved display but it was also the world’s first smartphone capable of flexing and with a self-healing back. It’s almost a certainty that the LG G Flex 2 will once again sport a flexible display. Past rumours have hinted at a slightly smaller 5.5-inch display with a better resolution than the 6-inch HD (720×1280) found on the original LG G Flex.

As for what LG has in mind for the LG Vu 4, it is likely that the phablet will retain its predecessors’ display with a 4:3 aspect ratio while benefiting from upgraded specifications. The stylus and pen-based apps that were added last year are likely to also remain.
