LG today confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will be unveiled sometime in February. Called the LG G Pro 2, it will likely be unveiled at the MWC 2014 tradeshow taking place in Barcelona in late February.

Aside from the name and announcement details, LG revealed nothing about the LG G Pro 2. It only said that it was part of its flagship G family in which each model released (going back to the Optimus G) so far has sold over 1 million units in Korea. It also reminded us that the LG Optimus G Pro was the first LG device to come with a Full HD (1080×1920) display.

The latest rumours have suggested that that LG G Pro 2 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Google Android 4.4 KitKat, a 6-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display (although earlier rumours suggested a WQHD display), LTE-Advanced connectivity and 3GB of RAM. It could also come with a fingerprint scanner.
