There is good news today for TELUS owners of the Nokia Lumia 625.The Nokia Black update is now rolling out as software version 3056.40000.1349.2001
Lumia Black is the name Nokia has given to its Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update. Aside from the OS updates, it comes a number of other features depending on the Lumia device. On the Lumia 625, it adds a number of new apps and features such as App Folder, Refocus, the new unified Nokia Camera and Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) as well as the usual performance improvements and bug fixes.
If you have not received your notification yet, you can check manually by going to Settings > Phone update.
The Nokia Lumia 625 just launched with Rogers and Fido last week. It comes preloaded with the Lumia Black update so an update will not be required for those devices.
