Microsoft unveils Nokia Lumia 530

Nokia Lumia 530

Microsoft today unveiled its latest entry-level Windows Phone smartphone. The Nokia Lumia 530 is a small update over the Lumia 520 and Lumia 525. In fact, a number of specifications have been downgraded. For example, internal storage has been halved. It’s clear that Microsoft is working hard to drive the price of Windows Phone smartphones as low as possible, especially in the light of its recent decision to drop the Nokia X line of Android smartphones.

“We are moving quickly to help more people experience the uncompromised Lumia technologies, third party apps, and Microsoft services that we deliver on our flagship products, “ said Jo Harlow, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Devices Group. “Lumia 530 underscores our commitment to making affordable smartphones for everyone, and introducing more people to the best of Microsoft.”
