We’ve been running a poll (in the right column) over the last couple of weeks to see what you thought of the rumoured names that the HTC M8 might take when it finally launches. Most agree that none of the proposals heard so far really work. If @evleaks is right (and he usually is), we may have to add another option to the list of choices already offered. According to him, the HTC M8, the successor to last year’s HTC One, will be released as The All New One.
Apple did something similar when it launched its third generation iPad tablet, calling it the New iPad. We weren’t impressed with that name either:
Forgive me for saying this but what is up with that name? How long will it stay “new?” Will it become the old ‘New iPad’ when Apple unveils the fourth generation iPad? Would you say, “Hi Honey, I bought a new ‘New iPad’ today.”
At this point, previously rumoured names such as HTC One+ suddenly don’t look so bad.
On a more positive note, the HTC M8 will reportedly launch in three colours: Gray, silver, and gold.
HTC will unveil the HTC M8 or The All New One on March 25 at simultaneous events in New York and London.
