Press render of the HTC One mini 2

Rumoured HTC One mini 2

The evidence continues to grow that HTC will soon announce the HTC One mini 2 as a smaller sibling to its HTC One (M8) flagship smartphone which was announced in March. Following the disclosure of its official name earlier this week, @evleaks has now given us a press render of the device.

The image reveals that the HTC One mini 2 will likely launch in the same colours as the HTC One (M8), namely Amber Gold, Glacial Silver, and Gunmetal Gray. It also appears to confirm that it will not have the HTC Duo dual camera found on its larger sibling. It may have been a matter of being unable to squeeze in the two sensors into the smaller assembly or more simply a matter of cost.

No new details are given about the HTC One mini 2 but past rumours have suggested it will come with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, a 4.5-inch HD (720×1280), 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

There is still no word on availability and pricing for the HTC One mini 2 at this point.
