Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx spotted on Samsung’s website?

Rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx

The Samsung SM-G800F has been spotted again, this time on Samsung UK’s own website. It first popped up on India’s Zauba imports database with no information to go with the model number. This time, a screenshot reveals the device in different colours as well as the name under which it could launch. Rather than launching as the Galaxy S5 mini or Galaxy S5 Neo, it appears set to launch as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx.

Whether it launches as the Dx or the mini, Samsung is expected to once again scale down a number of specifications to produce this smaller sibling to its Galaxy S5 flagship. Earlier rumours have suggested it will come with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, a 4.5-inch HD (720×1280) Super AMOLED display, Android 4.4 KitKat, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a 2,100mAh battery. It may come in a range of colours including green, electric blue and white.

Samsung quickly removed the image from its website. Unfortunately, it was not fast enough to avoid having the screenshot taken and published by the usually reliable @evleaks.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx is not the only variant of the Galaxy S5 that Samsung appears to be readying. It has already unveiled the Galaxy K zoom and rumours continue to swirl about a premium variant called the Galaxy S5 Prime.

There is no word yet on availability and pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx.
