More LG G3 specifications details emerge?

Closeup of the rumoured LG G3

With LG widely expected to unveil the LG G3 at its May 27 series of events, details continue to emerge at a pace that suggests that LG may not have much left to announce at the end of the month. Following two new images that surfaced yesterday, Greece’s TechManiacs is the latest to shed more light on possible LG G3 specifications.

According to their source, the LG G3 will indeed launch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. It will also come with a 13MP camera with Sony providing the IMX214 Exmor RS sensor. This is the same sensor that recently made its way into the OnePlus One but LG will reportedly complement it with its OIS+ image stabilization (first introduced with the LG G Pro 2). The camera will also come with an f/2.0 shutter.

The report also adds that the LG G3 will feature a plastic casing. This supports some pictures seen but appears to contradict an image (seen above) leaked yesterday by @evleaks. With LG rumoured to offer both two models, it could well be that the metal cover will be reserved for the 3GB model whereas the 2GB model will come with a plastic cover.

Rumoured LG G3

Another contradiction with earlier rumours is the battery capacity. This report indicates it will come in at 3,200mAh whereas recent rumours have suggested 3,000mAh instead.

Other specifications we are familiar with include 32GB of internal memory and a 5.5-inch WQHD (2560×1440) display.

The report also indicates that LG did have G3 prototypes running the older Snapdragron 801 processor. This would explain how we have have reports about both processors in the past. It could also explain other contradictions such as battery capacity.

Despite all the leaks so far, it would appear that LG may still have a few things to confirm for us on May 27.
