As we reported last month, WIND Mobile is expanding its network coverage to Brantford, Ontario (the zone in red above). Along with the new coverage, the carrier will have two stores in Brantford itself, one near Laurier’s Brantford campus and the other at the Lynden Park Mall.
“Today’s announcement is another example of WIND’s continued growth and commitment to being the fourth largest carrier in Canada,” said Anthony Lacavera, Chairman and CEO, WIND Mobile. “We will continue to prove that WIND Mobile is a viable option in the Canadian wireless industry – offering our customers the true mobile freedom they deserve.”
WIND’s coverage map also shows that it has expanded into nearby Paris, Ontario.
WIND Mobile is offering Brantford a grand opening weekend special in which anyone activating a line from now until Sunday will get CA$50 in service credits.
WIND Mobile just finished a full network HSPA+ upgrade offering speeds of up to 21Mbps. It is now upgrading its network to Dual channel HSPA+ which will bring speeds up to 42Mbps.
WIND Mobile also announced back in early April that it had crossed the 700,000 subscriber milestone.
