ASUS unveiled its first Android Wear wearable device, the ASUS ZenWatch, last fall at IFA 2014. Much as Motorola did for the Moto 360 earlier this year, ASUS today kicked off a watch face design contest where designers are invited to “shape the future of ZenWatch.”
ASUS ZenWatch is an exquisitely crafted Android wearable that follows in the time-honored tradition of fine watchmaking. Now, we are inviting you to shape the future of this premium wearable in the ‘Face the Future’ASUS ZenWatch Face Design Contest. Create your own original watch face for an opportunity to see your design on ASUS ZenWatch devices all over the world as well as win one of your own. Simply download the template and upload your design. We will select our favorite designs and award prizes in the following categories: Overall Gold Medal, Best Beauty in Design, Best Practical Design, Best Creative Design, Best Student Design Award, and Fan Favorite.
The contest runs until February 10th, 2015. To enter, you simply need to download the design templates and let your imagination loose. Once you’re done, simply upload your submission. ASUS will then select its favourites in five categories (Overall Gold Medal, Best Beauty in Design, Best Practical Design, Best Creative Design and Best Student Design Award) and open up voting to find the Fan Favorite design.
All winners will be announced on March 2nd, 2015. Each one will win an ASUS ZenWatch. Three more watches will be given out to lucky people who vote on the designs. And best of all, the contest is open to everyone across the world.
