Amazon Canada announced yesterday that it had a “record-breaking holiday season” with a record number of packages shipping from its warehouses over the past few weeks. Both tradtional watches and wearables were among its bestselling product categories this year.
“We are thankful to our customers for making the 2015 holiday season a record-breaker for Amazon.ca,” said Alexandre Gagnon, Country Manager for Amazon.ca. “From great deals to a variety of fast, convenient delivery options, we’re continuing to make it easier for customers to save time and money on their holiday shopping and all year long.”
Among wearables, the best selling items on Amazon.ca were the Garmin Vivofit Activity Tracker, the Lumo Lift – Posture Coach and Activity Tracker and the Jawbone UP3 Activity Tracker.
Bestsellers in the watch category included the blue-bezeled Stuhrling Original Men’s Aquadiver Regatta Champion Professional Diver, the Timex Men’s T49905GP Expedition Field Chronograph with black dial and the Wolf Designs Men’s Heritage 10-Piece Watch Box with Glass Cover.
While Amazon Canada did not reveal exactly how many packages it shipped, it did ship out enough LEGO boxes to reach the top of the CN Tower 27 times and more diver’s watches than the number of metres for a diver to swim to the bottom of Great Slave Lake, the deepest lake in North America, and back to the surface.
