Moto G (2014) specifications leak again

Rumoured Moto G (2014)Among the up to eight smartphones Motorola could launch by the end of the year is the successor to the Moto G. It has already surfaced a number of times in rumours as the Moto G2 or Moto G+1. It has now resurfaced courtesy of HellomotoHK which has provided new pictures and details.

The specifications provided line up well with those revealed by other rumours. They include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 5-inch HD  (720×1280) display with thinner bezels, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card support, an 8MP rear camera and dual-SIM support. It will, like the Moto G, come with a range of swappable Motorola Shells so that it can be customized.

Other specifications expected include Google Android 4.4.4 KitKat, a 2MP front-facing camera and sensors such as an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor.

It does not appear to be a major departure from the Moto G but upgrades like the larger display and higher resolution camera are likely to be welcomed by consumers.

Motorola is expected to unveil the Moto G (2014) at its September 4 press event taking place in Chicago. No launch date is provided but a prior rumour suggested that it could happen as early as September 10.
