Sony Mobile is the latest manufacturer to announce that it will hold a press conference at MWC 2014. It will take place on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 0830 CET (0230 EST). There is no word on what the company could announce at this point.
Based on recent rumours, Sony could unveil the Sony D6503 which has been the topic of a number of recent rumours. Codenamed Sirius, it could launch as the Sony Xperia Z2. It could also introduce new mid-range or entry-level smartphones.
Sony could also use its press event to unveil a successor to the Xperia Tablet Z. Unveiled last year at CES 2013, it is due for a successor. If so, it could well be the Sony Castor which will reportedly come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974-AB) processor and both Wi-Fi and 4G variants.
