SanDisk will start to sell its newly announced 1GB mini SD card for $100 USD in Q2 2005. This works out to $0.10 per MB, compared to $1.13 per MB just 5 years ago. And further price drops are expected. Gartner expects that the price per MB will drop to $0.05 by the end of the year and to less than a penny by 2009.
I guess we won’t be as upset when we keep losing these tiny cards.
