Steve Jobs sheds light on health concerns and Macworld absence

Apple

Steve Jobs has provided an update in the form of an open letter on the Apple site about the state of his health and the reason why he will miss Macworld this year.

Jobs’ weight loss in 2008 has caused a number of rumours and he confirms in the letter that he is suffering from a hormone imbalance that has been “robbing” me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy. The remedy is relatively simple and straightforward and Jobs expects to make a full recovery by late spring.

Jobs is also spending more time with his family rather than preparing for the last Macworld keynote.

Jobs will also continue as CEO during his recovery.

All the best for a speedy recovery, Steve!
