Nexus S Android 4.0 upgrade being pushed to Google employees

If now deleted Google Plus posts are any indication, Google has pushed out an update to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to its employees using Google Nexus S smartphones. At least one employee, Adel Saoud, reported getting the OTA update after the news was broken by Adnan Hodzic. If true, Google is likely testing the deployment with its employees before rolling out to its wider customer base.

Android 4.0 pushed to Google employees' Nexus S?

The Google Nexus S is likely to be the first smartphone to get the update. Manufacturers (including HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung) who have announced updates for their devices are likely to not push out their updates until early 2012 at the earliest. It remains to be seen if Nexus S owners will see it in 2011 but Google had promised it “a couple of weeks after” the release of the Galaxy Nexus.
