On the heels of the HTC Edge leaks come details about another upcoming HTC smartphone. BGR has landed details about the HTC Ville (its development codename) which should be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2012. Here is what we know so far about the HTC Ville:
- Processor: 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4
- Operating system: Google Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0
- Cellular connectivity: HSPA+
- Display: 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED
- Rear-facing camera: 8MP with f/2.2 lens and 1080p video capture
- Battery: 1,650mAh
- Other: Beats Audio
The HTC Ville will not come with NFC due to its metal casing. It should be less than 8mm thick.
These rumour also indicate that HTC will continue to develop its HTC Sense user interface overlay (not a big surprise really).
With quad-core smartphones around the corner, it seems like devices like the HTC Ville will become the new mid-tier in 2012.
