Samsung today confirmed the rumours and announced that its press event with Google will now take place on October 19th. The original event was canceled days before it was to take place due to Steve Jobs’ death.
The new invitation features the Android Ice Cream Sandwich logo confirming expectations that Google will unveil the next major version of Android at the event. It’s highly likely that Samsung will also unveil the first smartphone to use Ice Cream Sandwich, the Google Nexus Prime (or Samsung Galaxy Nexus?).
The event will take place at 1000 on October 19th in Hong Kong (2200 Eastern time on October 18th for us in North America).
