It appears that Samsung has begun to push out an Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet. So far, it appears to be limited to Italy.
There is no word yet on when the update will be available in other countries but hopefully it won’t be much longer.
This could well be the last major update that Samung provides for the original Galaxy Tab. It will not be upgraded to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and it remains to be seen if it will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0?) when it comes out towards the end of the year.
