More confusion is now swirling around whether or not HTC will release a HTC Desire HD Android 4.0 update. Two days ago, HTC appeared committed to delivering Ice Cream Sandwich updates to both the HTC Desire HD and Desire S. Today, HTC changed its previous statement, indicating now that it is still analyzing the possibility of such an update:
“HTC is committed to providing the best customer experience on our devices and are currently determining the ability to support Ice Cream Sandwich on the HTC Desire HD. We’ll provide more information when we’ve completed our analysis.”
HTC Desire HD owners will have to keep their fingers crossed a while longer.
Given that the HTC Desire S has very similar specifications, it’s likely that its fate will be the same as the Desire HD’s.
