Motorola updates Android 4.0 rollout plans

MotorolaMotorola has updated its Android 4.0 rollout schedule page. To date, Motorola has confirmed that the DROID RAZR, DROID RAZR MAXX, DROID 4, DROID BIONIC, DROID XYBOARD 8.2 and 10.1, and MOTOROLA XOOM WiFi + 3G/4G will be upgraded to the latest version of Android but had yet to provide more detailed timelines.

The only deployment that has taken place so far is for the MOTOROLA XOOM Wi-Fi-only tablet. A number of upgrades are now in development with rollouts set to begin in Q2. In the U.S., the only scheduled Q2 rollout is for the MOTOROLA XOOM Family Edition. In Canada, a single device is also on tap for Q2, namely the Motorola RAZR. The U.S. version of the RAZR remains at the “evaluation and planning” stage.

In Q3, Motorola will update the following U.S. devices: the ATRIX 2, the ATRIX 4G, the Photon 4G and the XYBOARD 8.2 and 10.1 tablets.
