Images of HTC One Max surface

Rumoured HTC One Max

New images of the upcoming HTC One Max (codename HTC T6) have surfaced courtesy of Hong Kong online retailer ePrice. The new images show a device that shares much with the HTC One with the dual front-facing speakers sharing a single speaker grille. Very thin bezels are also in evidence.

The HTC One Max looks to be narrow and long but specific measurements are not available. With the pictures not giving us any direct comparison to other devices, such as the HTC One or the just announced HTC One Mini, it is difficult to judge just how big the device will be.

As for specifications, the report suggests that the HTC One Max will come with the following:

  • Processor: 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
  • Display: 5.9-inch Full HD (1080×1920)
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Internal storage: 16GB
  • External storage: MicroSD cards
  • Rear-facing camera: 4MP UltraPixel with OIS
  • Front-facing camera: 2.1MP
  • Battery: 3,300mAh
  • Dimensions: 9.4 millimeters thick

Earlier reports suggested more internal storage, up to 64GB. It is likely that there will be variants for different markets, especially as one could be a dual-SIM model for the Chinese market.

More interestingly, the report adds that the HTC One Max could come with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device. It also raised the possibility of support for stylus input, something we’ve heard about before as well.

HTC is expected to launch the HTC One Max in early September. It could announced alongside the mid-range HTC Zara.
