Press render of 2013 Google Nexus 7 leaked

Rumoured 2013 Google Nexus 7

A press render of the 2013 version of the Google Nexus 7 has been leaked by the usually reliable @evleaks. While the new tablet looks very similar to its predecessor, there are also a few differences.

Among the changes are the addition of a rear camera (likely 5MP based on earlier reports), a repositioned and now stereo speaker (located at the top and bottom on the angled edges). The back also appears to have lost its stippled texture, with ASUS and Google going with a matte finish this time around. It also looks like there is a notification light below the display.

A second tweet suggests that both 16GB and 32GB versions will be available. This lines up with earlier rumours as well. The 16GB version is expected to sell for US$229 and the 32GB one for US$269.

Google is expected to announce the new version of the Nexus 7 alongside Android 4.3 at an event on July 24th in San Francisco.
